The main task of the Volunteer Coordinator (VC) is to recruit new volunteers and to assure that existing volunteers are content with their service.
The VC needs to be able to work in good harmony with many people, be a good organizer, have good judgment, good communication skills and to be able to act as a good will ambassador in the home.
In order to promote good relationships among the volunteers, the VC should plan and organize activities for the volunteers, such as parties, cinema nights, trips and special events. This is very important since a good community living experience has a very big impact on the work environment.
Communication can be challenging at times due to the different cultures but it is the responsibility of the VC to solve problems as soon as they occur and find a solution which is acceptable for everyone involved.
Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in one of our homes.
